🧡 Soapbox–Can we just be real? Let’s talk AI.

Hi ,

Don’t get me wrong. [😂 Don’t you just perk up when you hear someone say that?]

I am thankful and appreciative of all that AI (Artificial Intelligence) does to both enhance and simplify my life. AI is cleverly disguised in every nook and cranny of my life. It’s like glitter; it’s everywhere and shows up in unexpected places.

But, are you like me? Are you growing wary of the loss of authenticity around you? For example:

AI wants to alter my words to sound more eloquent and professional. But in real life, that’s not me. I ramble and shout and use incomplete sentences.
AI wants to make it look like I’m an amazing photographer. But in real life, I’m not. If I get the perfect shot, trust me, I just got lucky.
AI wants to show the world that I have it all together. But in real life, I don’t. I have dog hair on my second-hand leggings, and if you look closely in my photos, there are almost always dishes in the sink.

Let’s Be Real

Can we be real together? There’s a place for AI, but don’t let AI alter who you are and the authentic stories you need to tell.

When my stories are being read generations from now, I don’t want my descendants to say, “Wow, I could never measure up to that Jen White; she was truly amazing.” Instead I want them to say, “Wow, I can really relate to that Jen White; she’s my people!”

You and I are the current generation of storytellers. If you need help telling your stories authentically, take a class or learn from a tutorial. We’d love to help you.
