TEMPLATE USER? LISTEN UP!

If you use templates created by a designer in a different country, you will likely run into the problem of having the language of the Type Tool changed. For example, it may change from English US to English UK.

Problem: If you click on a type layer that uses the wrong language, you run the risk of your type layers adopting that wrong language, making your Spell Checker also adopt the wrong language.
Solution for Photoshop Elements 2026: Before using Spell Checker, activate a type layer and check the Language in the Tool Options of the Horizontal Type tool.
Solution for Adobe Photoshop Users: Before using Spell Checker, activate a type layer and check the Language in the Properties panel or Character panel.
