Here’s a tiny tip for this lovely Tuesday . . .

Give your photos a quick exposure boost before you scrapbook them.

Think of it like turning on a lamp in a dim room—suddenly everything looks cleaner, clearer, and less like you’re documenting life in a Hobbit hole.

I brighten almost every photo I scrapbook. Not because I’m fancy, but because my camera seems to think “moody darkness” is my preferred aesthetic. One little nudge on the Exposure slider, and suddenly the papers match, the faces show up, and the whole page looks like I planned it that way.

How To Quickly Boost Exposure

The Good Option: Use the Exposure slider on your phone before placing your photos on your scrapbook page. Your phone will not do the best job, but it’ll be good enough if you don’t have time for the better option.

The Better Option: After adding your photos to your scrapbook page, quickly run the photos through the Camera Raw Filter. A little nudge on the Exposure slider makes a huge difference!

Try brightening one photo this week. Your layout (and your future self) will thank you.
