Hi ,

Have you seen my spotlight interview on Photoshop.com? If you haven't, I urge you to go check it out and get inspired!

Do you know what the best piece of advice about scrapbooking I've ever received is? How about the advice I would give to a beginning digital scrapbooker? To find out, read the interview!

Plus -- there's a download at the end of the interview for a grungy frame brush that has more than half a dozen cool frames! (The download is called DS Grungy Frame.)

In other news, Adobe has announced a free update for Photoshop CS5!

It gives you the ability to work directly with mobile and tablet applications as they become available for devices like the iPad. To take advantage of this new connection to devices, install the latest update by choosing Help > Updates in Photoshop CS5 or Photoshop CS5 Extended software.

Along with the update, Adobe is announcing three initial iPad companion apps to Photoshop CS5 that can be purchased separately from the Apple App Store. Learn More.

Love and scrapbooking success,

Linda Sattgast

P.S. Don't forget the download at the end of my interview. I think you'll love my grungy frames!

Color Balance TutorialProduct Spotlight

Color problems with photos may be due to "warm" or "cool" light sources.

In this tutorial you'll see two photos with different white-balance problems and review two different ways to correct white balance for a more natural (or simply more attractive) effect. Learn more.

Note: This tutorial was created for the June 2009 issue of Digital Scrapper Premier. If you were a member of Premier during that time, you already have this tutorial.

Egg-cellent Element (Part 2) TutorialTip of the Week

Egg-cellent Element -- Part 2
by Jen White

In Part One of the Egg-cellent Element tip (Part 1 for Elements, Part 1 for Adobe Photoshop), I showed you a quick and easy way to create a custom egg shape in Photoshop by using the Marquee Tools.

Now this tip will show you a quick way to take any linear object - such as a ribbon - and give it a little "warp." This will give the ribbon a rounded, realistic look, like it's wrapped around a real egg.
