Hi ,
If you're like me, you frequently get scrapbooking ideas from designs you see all around you in your everyday life. Of course, you have to be paying attention to notice an interesting sign in a store or the beautifully designed label on a box of tea.
Then there are the times when designs are so abundant that they grab your attention--even when you aren't particularly looking.
That happened to me last week when I visited the annual Portland "Street of Dreams" house show. My daughter and I went mainly to get home decorating ideas, but I kept seeing things that inspired my scrapbooking:
- the crackle paint on a large piece of pig pottery (yes, a pig!)
- decorative picture frames
- flowers on a little girl's ballerina outfit
- word art on a tote bag
- I even got a some great quotes. Here's one I found framed in a walk-in closet:
"Without a doubt the most stylish asset any woman can have is confidence."
Donatella Versace
Wow! Don't you just love that?
You may not be attending a Street of Dreams in the near future, but here's my challenge to you--how many items can you notice this week that give you scrapbooking inspiration? Keep your camera handy, and take a photo. Then scroll through these photos when you need a bit of inspiration to scrapbook!
Love and scrapbooking success,
