Hi ,

A couple weeks ago, I got to spend an entire day listening to Scott Kelby, who came to Portland for an all day seminar.

Who is Scott Kelby? He's one of my favorite Photoshop teachers--maybe even my favorite--because his style of teaching is so enjoyable, full of great content, and even humorous. He had us laughing, and he had the models laughing, because this was a live photography shoot with a post photo processing demonstration.

In contrast, another guy (I won't say who) came in during the second half of the lunch hour and showed us his company's plug-in that works with Photoshop or as a stand alone.

Boring. It wasn't just that he wasn't funny. I can take or leave humor as long as the content is good and inspiring, but I was not inspired.

Speaking of teachers, I'm really proud of the great teachers we have for our Digital Scrapper Premier membership program. They're inspiring, knowledgeable, and even funny sometimes, but most of all they teach things that we as scrapbookers can really use on our pages.

Now that's my kind of teacher!

Love and scrapbooking success,

Linda Sattgast

Corrections

Last week, there were two errors in the newsletter:

1. The confetti in last week's header was actually from the Jubilee kit by Peppermint Granberg -- Jubilee was the July 2011 Digital Scrapper Premier kit.

2. The Tip of the Week "A Magic Touch for Photos" was mislabeled as by Jen White; it was actually by Jan Walker.
