Hi ,

As of today, July 17, 2012, there are 160 days till Christmas.Holiday Page
Come on, admit it. You'd like to whack me just for bringing that up, wouldn't you?
But before you toss your Diet Coke can at me, hear me out...

Around the halfway mark in the year is a great place to take an inventory of where you've been and where you are headed. Will you be headed into the 2012 Christmas season feeling ready for a whole new batch of holiday photos? Or do your shoulders slump when you think of all those Christmas pics of old that are still sitting on your hard drive waiting for a little TLC?

Unfortunately, I fall into the second category. I've gotten some 2011 Christmas photos scrapped, but I'm nowhere near feeling finished. Holiday PageWell, let me help you out with a Christmas in July Checklist. Here's the key: Start small. Only use my list for your 2011 Christmas photos. When those are done, move on to other projects. No lofty expectations. Just slow and steady wins the race.

Christmas in July Checklist:
1) Create Focus. Gather all your 2011 Christmas photos into a single folder.
2) Free Yourself. Delete all the bad photos. It's okay. No one will arrest you!
3) Plan for the Future. Rename the good ones with keywords and dates.
4) Sort. Mark or rate the photos you definitely want to scrap.

5) Just Scrap! Get those photos in scrapbooks!

I know... it's that last one that is going to trip you up, but
keep in mind, not every page has to be fabulous. And why reinvent the wheel? We've got templates and a compete Scrap-It-Now Template system in our store to help you get your memories captured in a fraction of the time.

In fact, this week our Holiday Sparkle kit is on sale for more than 50% off. And to go along with that, I've transformed one of my Christmas 2011 scrapbook pages into a quickpage and a grayscale template to help get your creative juices flowing. Be sure to check them out below... both templates are FREE for download in the DSNews Goodie area of our website!

Holy snowballs, Rudolph, we've got a lot of work to do! Better get started. :)

Have a great week, friend.
