Hi ,
Think outside the box (some pun intended) when it comes to photo framing. It's easier than you might think! Here are a few examples I put together from this month's Premier kit -- Carefree, by Amanda Heimann. Each of these four framing techniques uses the same photo in just a slightly different manner:
#1 Make several bare frames peek out from behind a frameless photo at different angles. I use this technique a lot on my pages and find that plain thin frames look best.
#2 Duplicate a framed photo several times and then stack them at different angles. Even though you use the same photo over and over, the photo stack creates the illusion that there's more to be seen underneath... it creates interest.
#3 Decorate one opening of a grid frame with a photo and then use papers and embellishments to decorate the other openings. This technique is a great way to stay compact, yet get super creative.
#4 Use a frame to highlight part of a larger photo. Sometimes cropping the photo takes out its artistic flair and other details that you might want to preserve. The frame will take your eye to the most important part of the photo first, leaving the secondary details for later.
Try some of these framing ideas on your next scrapbook page. It will be a refreshing break from the ordinary.
Have a great week, friend.
