Hi ,

So you've got your stash in a suitable state, now what?
Unless you just want to be an avid collector, now is the time to put those beautiful photos, papers, and embellishments to good use. It's time to scrap!

Like I mentioned last week, our main goal here at Digital Scrapper is to get you scrapping. Here's tip #2 to becoming a happy scrapper:

Photoshop ElementsGetting Started Tip #2. Know Your Software.

Soooo many of us started out as traditional scrapbookers. We could cut and glue with the best of them, and she who possesses the most decorative brads in the end... wins!

But when sitting down in front of Photoshop Elements for the first time, we suddenly feel like a fish out of water. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

Maybe you know what you want to do, but actually knowing how to do it has got you camping out on Avid Collector Island. Well here's the bad news, you won't get off the island unless you know your software. But on the flip side, here's the good news -- knowing your software is only a few clicks away.

Solution. Learn digital scrapbooking skills in a logical progression that builds your knowledge lesson by lesson. No more guessing what you need to know or wondering if you're missing something important!

Learn Digital Scrapbooking. This self-paced class comes in three versions:
Photoshop Elements 11, Photoshop Elements 6 to 10, and Photoshop CS4 through CS6.
Whether you are self taught with gaps in your knowledge or just opening your software for the very first time, it's an essential investment that you cannot afford to pass by.

Join me next week for Getting Started Tip #3. Until then, have a great week, friend.

Official Announcement: Please welcome Helen Ash (simplyhx) to our team of Digi Scrap Tutorial teachers!
We are so excited to have Helen Ash join our Digi Scrap Tutorial team! She brings with her a fun-loving spirit and a super creative streak which you are sure to enjoy. If you've been around the galleries you've seen her work -- and you've most likely ooh'd and ahh'd. Here's a little bit about Helen to get you more acquainted:

quoteHi everyone! I'm Helen, known in digi-scrap land as SimplyHx or, simply, Hx! I am a Christian and I have been married for almost 25 years to my lovely hubby, Brian. We live in a seaside town on the beautiful south coast of England. We have been blessed with three amazing sons and a super-cute baby grandson. (But, of course, I am biased!)

Spending time with my family is my most favorite hobby (and always will be!) but I also have a passion for gardening, amateur photography, music, rambling, paper crafting, and, of course, digital scrapbooking! Learning new skills in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements really excites me, and I love creating scrapbook pages and cards for my family and friends. quote

In November 2010, I took one of Linda's awesome classes and felt right at home here at Digital Scrapper. The community is wonderfully friendly, helpful, and inspiring, and I feel honored to be a part of it.

Along with Helen's official announcement, she is also all set to publish her first (and fabulous) Digi Scrap Tutorial here at Digital Scrapper. Make sure you check it out below and leave her some love.
