Hi ,
"There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. . . . " Can you finish the poem?
Another confession--yep, Longfellow was talking about me when he penned this. I am that little curly top. Take photographs, for example. I'm good at taking photos, but I'm horrid at editing them! To be honest, I just don't enjoy it, so I don't do it.
What results from my lack of photo editing love is a beauty of a layout with a disaster of a photo. How sad! It doesn't have to be this way--not for me, not for you.
In my endeavor to move to the next segment of my Avoidable Design Disasters series, I had to step out of my comfort zone and decide which photo editing tips are most important to me. I'm happy to report that the edits in my photo above took less than two minutes, and I'm amazed at the results.
Join me this week on the blog as we discuss photo editing and what we do--or don't do--that results in a design disaster. I have to tell you--I may be changing my mind about photo editing after this!
See you on the blog! Have a great week, friend.

Join me in welcoming Lydia Tarbox as our newest Digi Scrap Tutorial author. Lydia brings yet another layer of amazing talent to our team. Make sure to leave her some love in her first ever Digi Scrap Tutorial below! Here's what Lydia had to say:
Hi everyone! I'm Lydia. I am an editor/technical writer turned stay-at-home mom of four rowdy kids. I live with my husband, Brett, and our littles in Kaysville, Utah, where we enjoy the changing of the seasons and being close to our extended families. When I'm not busy keeping the household running, I love to sing, play the piano, read, and of course, scrapbook. I've been scrapping digitally since 2007, and I love it just as much now as the day I discovered it.
I'm excited to be joining the Digital Scrapper family. This is a wonderful community full of supportive
people who are eager to learn. I'm a bit of a computer geek and am very drawn to the technical side of digital scrapping. So, I love learning how to do new things with my scrapping software. I hope I'll be able to share lots of useful tips and tricks with all of you, and I look forward to learning a lot as well. Thanks for having me! |
