Hi ,

I'm a night person. I like to work when everyone else is sleeping and the house is nice and quiet. That usually works well for me. Not this night.

This night the silence was interrupted by the sound of quick heavy footsteps on the gravel driveway just outside my office window. Not exactly the sound I want to hear at 1am!

As I peered out into the night to investigate, I caught the silhouettes of our neighbor's horse and cow out for a midnight run--in our backyard--headed straight for the inground pool. The thought actually crossed my mind that their plan all along was to escape their pasture and skinny dip when no one was looking!

Long story short--after waking the hunk and the neighbors (and probably the rest of the countryside), I'm happy to report that Sissy and Belle are safely back in their pen.

The good news is: they decided not to take a swim. The bad news? We had to chase them through the freshly laid manure in the cornfield. Time for a shower.

What does this all have to do with chevrons? Absolutely nothing! I just had to share. But I do want to mention that this week's News is all about chevrons: chevron overlays, a chevron tutorial, and a chevron challenge. Make sure to check them all out below and then meet me at the blog for some chevron inspiration!

Have a great week, friend.
