Hi ,
I've included a special note from the birthday girl this week. Read on. . . .
From Linda Sattgast:
It isn't everyday that you enter a new decade of life, so when I was approaching 60, I decided to get high--up in the air, that is.
I went hot air ballooning with a friend and former roommate from college, who also turned 60 this year. My daughter, Allison, came along to take pictures. Here's what I learned from my first balloon ride:
Stay at the hotel near the launch site the night before. (We got up at 3:00 a.m., left at 4:00, and drove two hours to be there at 6:00.)
Let everyone else get in the basket first, because if you're first, you'll be nearly scorched under the hot air balloon furnace, which roars into life every so often at the command of the pilot. (Naturally, we were the first ones on board.)
Take along a photographer who is willing to be your ground crew. (Check.)
Enjoy God's amazing earth and sunrise from a bird's eye view. (Check.)
Say a prayer of thanks when you make it back safely. (Check.)
Cross "Hot Air Balloon Ride" off your bucket list. (Check.)
Hey, four out of six isn't bad!
The hot air balloon ride was not just about turning 60. It was also about turning 10 at Digital Scrapper. If you want to know the 10 things my hot air balloon ride taught me about scrapbooking, read my blog article.
Love and scrapbooking success, Linda
Gotta love that girl!

Digi Scrap Tutorial
If you've been around long enough to see a sampling of Nannette's birthday cards, you know how fun and creative she is. Just look at this card she created for her granddaughter. I LOVE IT! Read the tutorial showing how she made the title by clicking on the image below.
