May 6, 2014 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 12 Issue 18
Hi ,
For the record ... I recently got new specs. I think they look pretty snazzy (wink), but I also thought that classy pair I purchased in 1991 was snazzy, too. Now they are just a source of giggles sprinkled among my old scrapbooks. Ahh, good times. Good times.
This photo is just one of the many I'll take this month with helpful prompts from Katrina Kennedy. Without help, I can easily go for weeks and weeks without recording a single event. Katrina helps me see past the mundane, recognize the beauty in things, and capture all that needs to get recorded for future generations.
The start of a new month is always a good time to begin a new habit. Vow today to take more photos, learn a new skill, and simply challenge yourself to do better. This month's Premier video (see below) will surely kickstart your creative flow. Enjoy!
P.S. To you, and those you love, Happy Mother's Day this Sunday, May 11.
Break Away from the Ordinary!
Turn an ordinary embellishment, letter, or dingbat into something extraordinary that appears to break away from your page! Jen White demonstrates on a background mat, but this technique has great potential for photos as well.
This amazing tutorial uses simple tools, like selection outlines and gradients, in creative ways. Your imagination beckons!
