Hi ,
As a daily scrapper, there's nothing worse than getting in a slump. Sometimes the only way to get out is figuring out how you got there in the first place.
The other day I came across an article entitled 4 Things Killing Your Creativity. It was related to blogging, but the concepts still applied to our craft of scrapbooking. Any of these four things ring true for you?
1. Comparisons. Don't let comparing yourself to others get in the way of your own unique gifts. We each have something that no one else can bring to the table. Stay true to you!
2. Preparations. Or rather, a lack there of. I can't say it enough--learn something new every day and get organized!
3. Perfectionism. If you wait for the perfect kit, the perfect photo, or the perfect tutorial to get your pages done, they'll never get done. Just do it!
4. Fear. Take risks by trying new things. Post your pages in our gallery. I promise we are nice! We'll even oooh and ahhh over your cute grandbaby!
So, next time you feel like you're slipping into a slump, try looking at the heart of the issue. It might be just what you need to break free.
Have a great week!.
