December 2, 2014 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 12 Issue 48
Hi ,
Check out that sweet little photo off to the right. THAT, my friends, is the newest addition to The Aunt Jen Fan Club
. Meet Annette (Nettie for short). She was born the day after Thanksgiving to my littlest sister in Coastal Texas. That's my momma oohing and ahhing over her. Ya, I'm pretty proud right about now. Thanks for indulging me.
In other news, the countdown to Christmas has begun. Have you got your Christmas cards designed and printed yet? If not, check out our newest kit and video tutorial below. Either one would make a beautiful card.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all in the galleries this week. Hope you are enjoying the season.
P.S. There will only be one challenge this month. See the details below.
Beautify Your Baubles
Create the base for an ornament using shapes, a gradient, and a custom shadow. Use a custom mask and a Christmas bauble to turn the ornament into an artsy masterpiece!

NEW Release--Spirit of Christmas by HGD by Laurie Ann
Laurie Ann's Spirit of Christmas kit contains a beautifully eclectic mix of vintage and modern Christmas accents and word art. The choir boy-style lace trim, tartan bow, crocheted wreath, and antique light bulbs give it a delightful old-world ambience, while the ornaments, trees, and veneers add a more contemporary flavor.

Congratulations! We Have a Winner!
The winner of our Sketchy Blueprint Word Art Challenge is scrapgirl. See her page here. "The woodworking theme of this layout is perfect for a Sketchy Blueprint Word Art title. The great photos, the guitar template, and the background paper come together with the beautiful title to form a unified and balanced page. Drawing color or elements from a photo (in this case, the ear covers) out onto a layout is one of my favorite techniques, and it caught my eye right away. Well done, scrapgirl!" ~ Barb Brookbank
