January 12, 2016 | Digital Scrapper News | Volume 14 Issue 2
Hi ,
Ready for a little vertical lift?
The older I get, the more I can identify with the need for a vertical lift. Things just aren’t as perky as they once were—know what I mean? Moving on….
I sometimes get a similar feeling about my scrapbook page. Something’s just missing. Often that ‘something’ is depth. Depth on a digital scrapbook page typically comes in the form of drop shadows.
Shadows on a page look best when there’s a variety of them, because in real life, things don’t all have the same depth. Remember this blogpost we featured a while back— Avoidable Design Disasters: Drop Shadows? It’s a good reminder of good shadow etiquette.
This week’s free Digi Scrap Tutorial also features a good lesson on shadow depth. It comes with a free downloadable element to practice with. Make sure to check it out below.
Go forth and be perky.
