Hi ,
What will you start this new year? What new adventurous road will you travel for the first time?
Whatever it is, here’s a bit of advice from a friend:
“Don’t make things complicated. Just begin.”
In October of last year I made a quilt for each of my three children. It was my first time ever using a sewing machine. My quilts were small and simple. I had a great experience because I didn’t complicate things.
In November of last year I started Bullet Journaling (BuJos unite!). I started the journey with just a pen and a pretty notebook. Trying to measure up to how others journaled would have left me tired and frustrated. But because I kept things simple right from the beginning, I now have energy and vision to take my bullet journaling to the next level.
All that to say… let’s DO this! You are never too old or too young to learn a new skill. Just keep this in mind: Start small. Do what you can do. Then, add on to that.
If digital scrapbooking is one of the roads you are determined to travel this year, we are here to help...right from the beginning. Here’s a simple plan to get you started:

Last month’s Premier Top Pick is a particularly stunning page derived from Jenifer Juris’ Christmas Stockings video tutorial. It displays a perfect combination of creativity, blending, and depth. ~ Susie Roberts
