Hi ,
Burned out on type and titles yet? … “NEVER!,” said all the peeps.
Well, I could NOT image you would be!
So, here’s another super cool idea to try this week during your creative time. It coordinates well with this month’s uber-popular Word Art Recipes PDF (found in February’s Premier mini class), and—like most things—there are a gazillion different ways you could apply this
idea.
Font geeks sometimes call this technique “double type.”
The characteristics of double type are:
When I say “styled” I’m referring to your Effects panel (PS: Styles panel). So, you’d apply a layer style to just one of the words.
The Bad News: Photoshop and Photoshop Elements don’t come packaged with very many applicable styles for type. I know, pretty lame.
The Good News: The internet is chalk full of free layer styles. Simply do a search for “free photoshop styles.” And, in case you are wondering, most downloaded styles will work perfectly in newer versions of Elements (PSE 11 through 14).
So, what are you waiting for? Double the fun of your next page title with the double type technique.
I hope you have a great week.
