Hi ,

Photoshop Elements comes packed with loads of amazing tool tricks, but not ALL of them are accessible from the Menu Bar. Here’s one such example that’s often forgotten and/or asked about . . .

Paragraph Justification
Justifying a paragraph is one of the hidden treasures of PSE. It cannot be found in the Menu Bar or the Tool Options, but it’s still possible through a shortcut.

  • First, you need to create a textbox with type. Not sure how to do this? All the basics (and more) for using the Type Tool can be found in Linda’s Learn Digital Scrapbooking class.
  • Next, highlight all the type. The quick way to do this is to: Commit your type, then in the Layers panel, double click on the thumbnail of the type layer.
  • Finally, press Shift Ctrl J (Mac: Shift Cmd J) and commit the type again.
A paragraph justified in this way can add a dramatic statement to your next digital project. Give it a try.

Have a great week. Make sure to check out the FUN challenge and FREE DST below.
