Hi ,

Do you remember the first time you got your own apartment or house? I’m not talking about leaving home and moving in with two roommates. I’m talking about a place all your own.

Some of you called your friends and celebrated and others quietly settled in to the new space with a sigh and a smile.

Guess Who Moved?

Did you know that the Styles panel in Photoshop Elements 15 quietly moved out of the Effects panel into its very own panel?

What?! Nobody sent you an invitation to the party?

It turns out Styles is the shyer type that just settles in with a smile and a sigh to its new roomy panel, but that doesn’t make the event less significant. You can find the Styles panel in the Menu Bar under Window > Styles. It has the familiar styles menu at the top, and operates just the same as it always has. It just moved. And it’s about time. Big sister Photoshop has had it’s own Styles panel forever.

So if you go looking for Styles in the Effects panel and stare blankly at the two options available there, now you know what happened.

This is going to be a beautiful month in the galleries. See you there.

P.S. Linda Sattgast’s video, How To Load Layer Styles, has been upgraded to include the new location of the Styles panel. Here’s the link, in case you haven’t seen it before. It includes a downloadable glitter layer style and a fun way to use it.
