Hi ,
Could you stand to shed a few pounds?
There are lots of ways in Photoshop Elements to reduce the appearance of body bulge. Coming from a family of cute and chubby women, I’ve personally used just about all of them.
But if you’re looking for an all-over slimdown, here’s one quick and easy solution.
-
Open an image (File > Open).
-
In the Menu Bar, choose Image > Resize > Image Size. (PS: Choose Image > Image Size.)
-
In the dialog box, check Resample Image. (PS: Check Resample.)
-
Uncheck Constrain Proportions or click on the link icon to deactivate the Constrain option.
-
Set the Width Units to Percent. In older versions, you will get the same results when changing the Pixel Dimensions or the Document Size.
-
Set the Width to 96 (a 4% reduction). Click OK.
-
Save the image with a unique name and close the original without saving.
Note: The dialog box above will appear differently depending on your software version. The options, however, should be the same for every version.
Whew! I’m feeling a little lighter already.
Caution: A slimdown of 4% doesn’t seem like much, but that’s the idea. You don’t want the image to look like you’ve squeezed it. Because, that’s just creepy.
Have a great week. See you in the galleries.
P.S. There is no class sale this week. I’ll be back next week with a super awesome deal.
P.P.S. Happy Independence Day, USA!.
