True Story. I once left my son at a garage sale.

 

I was so distracted that I didn’t even notice he hadn't gotten in the car. It wasn’t until I looked in the rearview mirror and saw him running after me that I had the mind to stop.

 

He was six. He will never let me live that down. Lesson learned.

 

Sometimes we have to learn the hard way before installing safeguards to keep bad things from happening, right?
