Hi ,
I am super duper excited about what’s happening this week in the news, but first…
I Must Apologize -- I Am So Sorry
Sweet Kasuku contacted me this last week (Hi, Kasuku!) and quietly reminded me that she’s still waiting for the release of Selections, Part 2. And I know there are more like her that are wondering if I’ve reneged on my promise!
Please, let me assure you. You have not been forgotten. The class will come and you will not be disappointed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE what we’ll be doing in Selections, Part 2, and I know you will too.
Okay, enough about me.
A couple new things going on this week:
-
Exclusive Tips. As a rule, if it cannot be done in both Photoshop Elements AND Photoshop, we don’t teach it. But there are some tips exclusive to each program that are WAY worth mentioning. This week I’ve started out with a BIG beef I’ve had with PSCC lately and how I fixed it.
I look forward to seeing what you create. Have a great week.
P.S. Have you seen Jenifer Juris’ new haircut?? She featured it in her tutorial below. :D
Photoshop CC Exclusive Tip
Axe the Artboard Tool
Shortcuts are the bomb, but not when they’re annoying.
Since the introduction of the Artboard Tool in PSCC, I get annoyed every time I press the letter V to get the Move tool (which is a million times a day) and get the Artboard tool instead.
If you’re a shortcut lover like me and you find yourself being annoyed at the activation of unwanted tools, know that you can remove or change any keyboard shortcut in Photoshop (even older versions).
Here’s what I did:
-
In the Menu Bar, choose Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.
-
In the dialog box, open Shortcuts For and choose Tools.
-
Click on Artboard Tool, then choose Remove Shortcut.
-
Click Accept, then click OK to close the dialog box.
Not a Photoshop user? No problem. Watch the News for exclusive tips for Photoshop Elements.
